Baby Lewis is Here!

I am a Great-Aunt again!!! I mean, I have always been a great aunt, but we are so excited that Little Lewis Jess made it here safely today. He was born at 7:30am weighing 6lbs 4oz and was 19 inches long. We are so grateful that Jessica was able to have him with no complications. Last I heard from Ron they were still waiting for the Dr. to decide when he will do surgery. He is absolutely beautiful!! Congrats to Alvin and Jessi, and we will continue to pray for lil' lewie!

This is a pic that Ron sent me on my phone.

Prayer Request and WeeKenD FuN!

First of all I am sending out a prayer request on behalf of my beautiful niece Jessica and her hubby Alvin. She will be induced tomorrow (Monday) night, and as many know her baby was diagnosed with some heart deffects. They have told them that he will be having heart surgery within the first week of birth. We held a special fast for all of them today and will be fasting for them again next Sunday. They have already picked out a name for the little guy, Lewis Jess Pease, so if you would pray for him specifically that would be great.

We love you Alvin and Jessica, you guys are going to be awesome parents and we can't wait to meet this special little guy that the Lord is blessing our family with. You are in our prayers!!

Next, I have been bribing Morgon for two weeks now that if he would start going potty in the toilet that we would take him to the zoo. Well, FINALLY this week he decided it was time and has been doing great since. So we took the kids to the zoo on Saturday to celebrate this great occasion of only having two in diapers now. (lots better than the five) The kids were SUPER good and even did great at dinner at Cracker Barrel. AFter the zoo and dinner we went and visited one of our favorite misisonaries, Elder Thornton. We dropped him off two bags full of groceries and visited with him for about 20 minutes. It was great to see him. I started not feeling good yesterday at the zoo and stayed home from church today since my throat is KILLING me and Miles is sounding RSVish. But overall the weekend was GREAT!

Happy Birthday To An Amazing Lady!

Today was my mom's 64th Birthday!!! I am so incredibly blessed to have her as my earthly mother. I didn't always have the best relationship with her when I was a teenager, but after her barely surviving her horse accident, I realized I better not take her for granted any longer. We still had our struggles, but I came to appreciate her more after I left home and moved to Utah, and came to truly appreciate her after becoming a mother!!! There is hardly a day that goes by that I don't call her for some kind of motherly advice. I think she is amazing for so many reasons, but here are a few...

She has always set a good example!
I honestly can't remember a time when I have heard her bad mouth someone.
I NEVER heard her complain about my dad being away day after day to business and church meetings.
She always says the best prayers...yes they are kind of long...but still the BEST!
Is an AMAZING cook!!! (Why else would we look the way we do?)
She is an awesome grandma!
She is an awesome wife...she still dotes on my dad hand and foot.
She sews!
She is ALWAYS serving others.
She doesn't just visit teach once a month, it's more like 30 days out of the month...even in February.
Goes above and beyond to fulfill her church assignments.
Makes beautiful quilts!!!
Always serving her family.
Has an amazing testimony of the gospel and of our Savior.
She is the mom and 11 really cook kids!!!

This is my favorite picture of my mom!

Doesn't Jody look like her?

Me and my awesome momma!

My rad parents a couple years back!!

Mom I hope you had a wonderful birthday!!! I hope you know how much I love and appreciate all you are! You are everything I hope to some day be! (Yes I know, that means I need to clean up my act)...I love you MOM!!!!

My new pal Rudd & Chocolate wins!

Yesterday I got to FINALLY go out and see my awesome new nephew Rudger Jonathon. He is Ben and Tara's newest addition. He arrived last Thursday(12th) weighing in at 8lbs 13oz and was 20 inches long. He has the biggest hands and feet I have EVER seen!! He looks nothing like their first, Champ(Quinn), and looks just like Tara. He has a TON of hair which is very unusual for a Tenney baby. We are so glad he had a safe arrival!! Him and Miles are going to be best of buds!! Congrats to Ben and Tata.

Rudd with his favorite Auntie Tiff.
What a little chunky monkey!

I had to post a pic that I took today of Miles. We put him in the high chair for a cookie fight and the cookie obviously won! I LoVe this pic since you can see his little teeth. He is already taking his first steps and will stand all by himself for a coupole seconds. I am not ready for my baby to grow up!!
I Just can't resist this face!!!

Bad Momma!

Morgon's blessing on the dinner yesterday....
"Dear Heavenly Father, please bless the food. Thank thee for it. Bless that mom and dad can go to meetings. And bless that mom will behave...."
You know that it is time for some serious repenting and redirection in your life when your three year old blesses that you will behave!!

What A Weekend!!

This weekend Brandon and I got to get away for two days. We left Thursday afternoon for the valley, and cam home Saturday afternoon. It was a great get away, and I am already ready for another one!! Here are our weekend details...
When we got to the valley Thursday evening we went and ate at Texas Roadhouse (YUMMY) and then went and watched "Taken". I thought it was a great movie.
Friday morning we took two of our favorite missionaries (Elder Herzog & Elder Page) and their companions to brunch at Crackerbarrel. After brunch we went to another movie "The Pink Panther". I also thought that was a good movie.
After the movie we went back to the hotel to get ready for dinner and the concert. We ate at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse (Brandon's B-day gift) and it was DELICIOUS!!

Brandon and I in front of Ruth's Chris
Then we headed to the Jim Brickman concert. I bought Brandon tickets to the concert for Christmas knowing that it was his birthday weekend. This was Brandon's first time to attend his concert and my second. If you don't know who Jim Brickman is...you need to find out. He is a song writer/piano player. He has written hundreds of songs for other artists. One of my favorites is Martina McBride's 'Valentine'. Anyway, funny story time...

We got to down town Phoenix and found a place to park. There were people everywhere and since we didn't really know where we were going we decided to follow the crowd. I have been taught not to follow the crowd my entire life, and should have stuck with that even in this situation. Well, we ended up at the Dodge Theatre thinking that is where the concert was. The lady at the door went to check my purse and found a camera. She tells me that I can't have my camera or my picture phone and that I would have to run it back to my vehicle. So Brandon took off to the truck(3 blocks away) and put the stuff in it. He got back and we got back in line, get to the door again, and our tickets wouldn't scan. This other guy comes over and takes us over to this other door and he starts looking at our ticket and says 'Uh...these are Jim Brickman tickets' and we are like "ya, we know!" and he says, "um...this is the Robin Williams show. Jim Brickman is at the Orpheum Theatre, two blocks down and one block over." Then he looked at his watch (since we had about 5 minutes) and said "you better hurry!" So we took off walking as fast as we could. Well, on our way and I say to Brandon "I bet they don't even search my bag over here, and you would have ran all the way back to the truck for nothing". Well, sure enough! They don't even check my bag, we just walk right in and sit down. Anyway, they open the show and tell us "If you would like to meet Jim Brickman after the show, all you need to do is sign up to be a V.I.P. member." So, Brandon knowing how much I love Jim Brickman, goes out during the intermission and joins the VIP club for $35.00. So after the concert we are waiting in line to meet him (we were the first in line!!) and his manager comes out and says "Jim will be here in a minutes. Feel free to take pictures, video, etc."!!! I was SOOOOO mad!!! My freakin camera was in the TRUCK!!! It was still an unforgettable experience to meet him, Anne Cochran, Mark Masri, and Tracy Silverman.
This is Jim Brickman
Saturday we headed home around noon after some coupon shopping. I told Brandon my parents wanted to take us out to dinner for his birthday and that we needed to be at Trappers at 5:00. Well, what Brandon didn't know is that I had a surprise 30th birthday dinner planned for him. He was totally surprised and we had a lot of fun visiting with family.

Ok so I think who ever invented the "SNOW DAY" needs to be SHOT!! I am the most horrible mother because I usually HATE snow days!! I hate them for a couple of reasons...#1 - I hate the mess snow makes inside the house (I think it looks absolutely beautiful outside), and I can't stand that you spend 45 minutes to get the kids all dressed up for them to spend 15 seconds outside before they start freezing, and #2 - I usually have to deal with it all by myself. Since my hubby is usually at work. But, today wasn't too bad for a couple of reasons...#1 - my hubby was home!! YEAH!! So he got to spend half the day outside with them. #2 - we invited our good friends the McLaws family over to have some fun with us. (So I got to stay inside with Shawna and enjoy some adult conversation) Our kids had a blast!! This was the first snow they got to play in this winter. I still had to clean up the mess though.

I seriously have NEVER seen a little girl that can stand the cold like Eva can.
Dustin McLaws enjoying an icicle.

Bridget McLaws enjoying her icicle.

Hey Michael...you know you would stay drier a lot longer if you zipped up your jacket...right?

What is it with the McLaws kids and thier icicles?

Kinda Creepy...but FUNNY!!!

So my kids came home from school the other day with these funky glasses and they are kind of creepy but absolutely hilarious at the same time. My kids were taking turns wearing them, and you know me, I couldn't pass up a photo opp. I have always known that my children were strange, but it never occured to me that they just might be ALIENS!!

Morgon...you like his shirt?

This is my shy alien, Amelia

Baby Alien Miles (I think this is one of my favs)

Goofy alien Eva
I am at a loss for words:o) Michael

Tristen...I think he has another alien growing on his face!

Paul...you know, he really doesn't look that different:o)

This one made me laugh the hardest...he looks so, so....I don't even know! (Zach)

This is our serious Alien, Caden

This is the Mother Alien...yep!...I even had fun with the stupid things!
I hope you all laughed as hard as I did looking at these!!!
