BIG 10E Reunion 2009

This last weekend we had our BIG Tenney 11 Family Reunion. Our family was in charge, and now that we have put one on, I am more grateful for those that have previously been in charge!! They are a LOT of work!!!! We had an AMAZING reunion though, and a great turn out. It was very relaxed but a ton of fun. My dad's oldest brother, Bill, had his entire family there. They were kind enough to offer to be our entertainment on Saturday night, and they were exactly that!! They threw a lu'au...the food was great, the dancing was fabulous, and Byron did the fire dance and it was indescribable. I am SO grateful for our Samoan ties, and I can't describe the feelings I had meeting them all and feeling their love.
The spirit was So strong at our Sunday meeting, especially when Uncle Bill's family sang the closing song. I have been blessed with such an awesome family and I hope they know how much I love them!!!!

Another NEW/well Kind of new Addition

We have had this table since we got married. It was given to us by my awesome sister, Jami, and has seen many meals, projects, & messes. BUT...since the size of our family has grown tremendously over the past couple years it just wasn't workin. We were having to eat it shifts and couldn't ever put the food on the table, having to dish everything up at the stove. It made it very hard to have a nice family dinner. So we had to say goodbye...

So say hello to our newest addition...

My sister-in-law Gay's friend bought this at a yard sale and her husband fixed it up! I bought it for $100 and it is SO sturdy and HUGE!! It has TWO leafs(SP) that go with it and I think it is AWESOME!!! Now we are faced with finding chairs to go with it, so until then we will still eat in shifts and serve from the stove!!

Our BaBy Girl!

First off, make sure you read the last four posts. I know it is blog overload but I had lots of pics I needed to get on here!! Anway...

We would like you to meet the newest addition to our family miss Avery Isabell. We have been having SO much fun with her and we think she is pretty dang cute. I still need to take her pics in my studio, so hopefully this weekend I will get to that. We have NO idea how long she will be with us, but we are grateful that God has placed her in our lives for however long that may be. I fell in love with her the first day I saw her (she was not even 24 hours old) and I am sure my heart will break when she has to leave. But until then, I am goin to hold her, kiss her, and love her!!

Avery weighed 5 lbs 12 oz when she was born and is up to 6 lbs 6 oz. She has the longest fingers and toes I have EVER seen.

Miles has done EXTREMELY well with her. He LOVES to give her kisses and loves to say "soft" as touches her.

Unattended Children

So this is what you get what you leave Morgon unattended. I was actually sitting at the computer when I started smelling something funny. When I got to the kitchen I saw Morgon up to the microwave and when I asked him what he was doing he said, "makin me some oatmeal!!" Well, when I finally made it over to him I notice that the microwave still had 79 minutes to go!!!! Yep...he put the oatmeal in for 100 minutes!! When he opened the door smoke went everywhere and there was actually a little fire in the bottom of the bowl. All the alarms went off (and we even have one that speaks in spanish just incase we don't understand english:) My house stunk for DAYS!!!

Morgon...SO sad about his oatmeal!

Bandaids for Jesus & Knuckle Sandwiches

Couple Funny Stories:

#1 -

This was mine and Morgon's conversation during lunch today...

Morgon ~ "Mom, how long we gonna live on Earth?"
Me ~ "Oh I don't know. How long you gonna live with me?"
Morgon ~ " til Jesus doesn't die on the cross."
Me ~ "But son, Jesus already died on the cross a long time ago."
Morgon ~ Well then we need to take him some bandaids!!"

I love this age when they are sunbeams and are starting to learn about Christ and what he did for us.

#2 -

When we went to the valley on Sunday to see Amanda's baby, Brandon and Melanie took the kids to a near by park so they could get out of the car and play, since they had been in the car since 8:00 that morning and we had driven from Heber to Prescott, and then from Prescott to Queen Creek. Needless to say they were needing to get out and run around.

When they got to the park there were a group of boys about the age of 12 sitting on the swings. Well, Paul wanted to swing, so he walked up to the group of boys and said...

"You give me that swing right now or I will give you a Knuckle Sandwich!!!!"

The boys just started laughing. They were kind enough to move so Paul didn't have to hurt them.

This crazy thing I call LiFe!!!

I thought with summer here things would get a little less crazy, but instead it has just gotten WORSE!!! I have lots of pics to post, but will have to at a later time. Here is just a few things we have been up to...

#1 ~ We have a NEW addition to our family!! I know, I know, you are thinking..."Are you kidding me?"!! But it is what it is. We got a 10 day old baby girl last Thursday through CPS. To make a long story short since I will post pics as soon as I take them of her...We got a call two weeks ago today from the biological mother of three of our children telling us she had had a baby girl and that she wanted us to private adopt her and that she wanted to do it without CPS getting invovled. Well, she waited to long to make up her mind and CPS had to get invovled since this is her 3rd S.E.N. baby. Now we will have to be involved with a long drawn out process and case. YUCK!!

#2 ~ I was busy all weekend with taking pics of Alexis Nelson's wedding and reception. (see prior post for some of my faves!) Besides the wind blowing 100MPH it turned out beautiful!

#3 ~ TBall is finally OVER. We always look forward to it, but then are EXTREMELY happy when it is all over. (I have pics to post of this too)

#4 ~ Brandon has been working a ton lately, which we are grateful for, but have gotten out of the habit over the winter. I have gotten quite use to him being around more and now that he isn't I am going through withdrawels. I seriously think we saw each other a total of 10 hours ALL last week.

#5 ~ ADOPTION papers...we have FINALLY completed all the paper work to make our adoptions happen. Thanks to a CPS worker, Kateri, who has seriously worked wonders over the last month to get the ball rolling. The 30th of this month should be the day that all six kids will be officially ours! Hopefully that date will happen, but are still waiting for the final word from the county.

#6 ~ Sky Fort Swing Set - Brandon has been working until Dark every night working on our Sky Fort swing set we bought from Sam's Club. I will post pics as soon as he is done. It is going to be amazing and hopefully will keep our kids in OUR yard!!

#7 ~ We went yesterday and dropped Tristen off to the YMCA Youth Camp that he won through the Golden Mustang awards from the school. He was so excited to go and swears he won't miss us at all, but little does he know that I miss him like CRAZY!!!

#8 ~ I have been busy helping plan the BIG Tenney 11 Family Reunion which is next weekend. I am for once looking forward to it, not only because I think what we have planned is great, but because my Uncle Bill's family will ALL be in attendance, which has never happened before.

#9 ~ Cancelled Trip!...Brandon and I were suppose to head to Vegas and then Utah after dropping Tristen off yesterday, but since we have a new addition to our family that needs lots of care, we had to postpone it. I have to admit that I was looking forward to a LONG OVERDUE get away with my hubby, but am grateful for the reason we had to cancel!

So that is what has been going on...sorry this entry is so long and borring!!

Alexis & Jake's Wedding

This weekend was fun filled with Alexis Nelson's wedding. Friday afternoon we went over and took their wedding pictures. I have to admit that I was kind of leary of this since I have only ever taken wedding pics at the Snowflake temple in the morning, so I was faced with the challenge of the sun being opposite of what I am used to, not to mention that the wind was blowing!! I did my best though. When I woke up Saturday morning at about 5:30 to the wind blowing 40+ MPH, I was grateful that we took their pics the prior evening when it was only blowing about 25 MPH!!

I am so excited for this adorable couple! Jake and Alexis will accomplish great things together.

Thanks Lexi for trusting me to capture your special day!! I love ya!!

Happy 8th BaBe!!!

So here we are 8 years later!! Our story for sure is an unusual one. Not many people only date two weeks and get engaged, get married less than two months later, have a baby 9 months and 14 days later, and by their 8th anniversary have 10 children, and not to mention have had over 20 other children in their home. We ARE unique, you and I. What other couple could say that they have NEVER been in a fight, that doesn't mean we haven't had our disagreements, because we certainly have, but a REAL fight~NEVER!! Think of all the places we have been and the things we have been able to see, MEXICO, HAWAII, YellowStone , The RedWoods, Forks of Samon (won't ever do that again!), Tennessee & The Grand Ole Opry, Celine Dion (3 times), Josh Groban , Les Miserable, Beauty & The Beast, Jim Brickman, Andrea Bocelli, and the list goes ON...What an AMAZING ride it has been. How grateful I am that it is YOU that I have made this journey with, and YOU that I will have for ETERNITY! Thanks for being my better half, my best friend, my confidant, and my lover.

I LOVE YOU BRANDON WAYNE!!

Happy 8th Anniversary...8 down & an ETERNITY to GO!!!!
