Macky is home!...

We love the airport experience when missionaries come home!  There is such a neat feeling and excitement in the air.  Thanks Tim and Jami for inviting us along and for sharing this special moment with us!

Welcome Home Elder Slade...We love you!!

 Nate was super excited!
My favorite part is watching the mom's wait and then spot the missionary!

Visiting The Burns in Texas...

Four of the kids and I took off on a road trip to visit the Burns in Abilene Texas.  We had SOOO much fun and the trip went by WAY too fast!!  We went to movies, ate lots of good food, I got to go to Dallas with Mike and Robyn, went shopping, and strengthened our bond!!  We have missed this family so much since they moved from Heber last year. I wish we could've taken the entire family but with Brandon's work schedule it just wasn't gonna happen.

The Burns had just been presented their new home the week before we got there...it is BEAUTIFUL.  I am beyond happy for them!

We went fishing one afternoon at a lake nearby.

Mike taught me how to bait my hook...Yes this is the first time I have ever had to bait my own hook.(He wouldn't take pity on me and do it for me:)

I was the only one that caught a fish that day...and I actually caught 2!!  Mike also taught me how to release them...nope haven't ever had to do that either!

Took the kids to the Zoo the last day we were there.  I was quite impressed with the Abilene Zoo!

Taylor Stake Trek...

I am beyond grateful for the opportunity I had to help with photography on the Taylor Stake Trek this year.  I have seen the Trek from a couple different angles...18 years ago as a youth, 4 years ago as an adult child, and this year from behind the scenes taking photos.  Each time it has blessed my life tremendously.  It was fun to get to watch my two oldest experience the Trek as well.  What a beautiful church we belong to that provides experiences like the Trek for our youth.  I will forever be grateful for the lessons I learned 18 years ago.(that post will come later)

I have a lot of favorite photos from the Trek but I can't share them just yet...I have to wait until after the Trek fireside so the kids see them for the 1st time then.

I had a blast hanging out with my longtime friend, Jared Hatch.  We have known each other for ever and it was fun to catch up.  Lots of laughs!

Through this experience I was able to make some new friends.  Heidi and Vic Chapman were the ones in charge of the Photography and asked me to help.  They are wonderful people!!

Little League...

Every year I tell myself we aren't going to sign the kids up for Little League...but every year I do...and every year I'm glad I did.  The kids love it and I have some kids with natural born talent.  I won't lie tho...by the end of the season I'm ready for it to be over!

Miles & Mallori's Birthday...

Can someone please stop the time??  With Miles and Mallori only a year and 3 days apart we always celebrate their birthdays together.  I'm sure eventually they will want their own birthday parties but for now they seem just fine with it!!  What a blessing both of these little monkeys have been in our lives.

 Mallori and Miles...the birthday kids!
