C-R-A-P-P-Y H-A-L-L-O-W-E-E-N!!!

Anybody that knows me well knows that I HATE Halloween. I'm sorry but I think it is the DUMBEST day EVER!! I do think it is cool that other people get into it, but I have NEVER been one to like it. Even as a little girl I didn't find dressing up, walking around in the cold, and begging for candy very fun! I do feel kind of bad knowing that the previous owners of our house LOVE Halloween and would always deck the house out and make it way fun for the kids who came trick-or-treating. And now that we live here it is just another house. I know my sister knows what I'm talking about since the house she now lives in use to have the town's best Christmas lights display.
Anyway...for Halloween we always have a family fun night and watch a movie, pop popcorn, and eat candy until we are sick. We weren't gonna go trick-or-treating at all this year until Grandma Bowers called two nights ago and told us that we had to bring the kids by because she was dressing up like a witch. So tonight at about 5:00 I decided to pull out the costumes and see what we had. I had only planned on dressing up the little guys, but when we got looking, and thanks to my sister-in-law Melanie, we actually came up with enough for ALL 11 kiddos. We left for trick-or-treating at 5:30 and were done by 5:45 - since we only went to 3 houses. After trick-or-treating we went to the Slades to eat Soup and homemade bread, then we came home, visited with some friends, Travis and Kathy Aldritch, that we haven't seen in 5 years, and then just relaxed. I am grateful that I have kids that really don't mind that we just stay home for Halloween!!
Here are the kiddos...
Tristen - Batman, Michael - Hulk, Amelia - Witch, Eva - Witch, Mallori - Dalmation, Porter - Ironman, Paul - Woody, Morgon - Hulk, Miles - Monkey, Zach - Dragon, Caden - Frog
It was great spending time with family over at the Slades. Amanda and Jessi were here with their adorable kids. I sure do love those girls and think they are pretty dang amazing! I had to include pics of their adorable kids!
Little Miracle Boy Lewis dressed up as a LION
Madden dressed up as DASH

I am sorry that you hate Halloween! Your kids look fantastic for being last minute! Once again, you amaze me! I actually love Halloween. I don't like to take Brenna around begging for candy, but I love having kids come to my house all dressed up and being able to "treat" them!

It sounds like it turned out to be a pretty great night though! And Jessi and Amanda's kiddo's look adorable too!

Tiff, you are a brave woman...dressing up all those kids! I can't even begin to imagine...you are such a good mom, don't be so hard on yourself! There isn't very many people in the world that could handle 11 kids...sheesh, I can barley handle one!!! You're awesome and I love ya!

I'm shocked you found 11 costumes at the last minute and it looks so planned and organized. Those kids must have an amazing mom. We are staying home for Thanksgiving this year. Keep me posted on your travel plans. We would LOVE to see you!

They all look so cute. Looks like you had a better Halloween then I did. I spent mine cleaning up puke and they hadn't even had any candy yet. It was great fun!

Tiff! I am with you all the way on the Halloween thing! I have never liked it either...still don't, but then I thought of my kids as grown-up teenagers wondering why on earth everyone else in the world has fun memories of halloween costumes but not them--and that started to haunt me. I would have spent it with family too--I guess spending time with the symphony was the next best thing????? You are an incredible MOM!! Don't ever forget it!

What the heck was so crappy about it? Nothing!

I think, though, that my son Tyson is capturing your dislike for dressing up...I had to con him into wearing costumes this year.
